Senators Break Consecutive Win Record

The current Ottawa Senators roster has set a franchise record with nine consecutive wins after beating the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 in overtime yesterday.  The game-winning goal was scored by Mike Fisher (maybe his engagement to Carrie Underwood has set him on fire) 3:33 into OT.

Mike Fisher had room to operate and took full advantage of the rare 3-on-3 situation. Fisher scored 3:33 into the extra period and Ottawa extended its winning streak to a team-record nine in a row with a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Fisher took a pass from defenseman Erik Karlsson and cut across the goalmouth to put a backhand past Jaroslav Halak

Anointed the next great Montreal Canadiens goaltender before he even played a game in the NHL, Carey Price(notes) was supposed to be the one to help bring the glory back to les bleu, blanc et rouge.

What will Canadiens do with ‘odd-man out’ goalie dilemma?

Anointed the next great Montreal Canadiens goaltender before he even played a game in the NHL with the Habs, Carey Price(notes) was supposed to be the one to help bring the glory back to les bleu, blanc et rouge. In his first two seasons, the Canadiens made the playoffs, but a pair of disappointing exits coupled with a roster overhaul this past summer brought more pressure on Price to lead the turnaround
